How loud is the Ice Plunge?Updated 2 months ago
We understand sound is a powerful sensory factor that can impact your ice plunge experience.
When the unit is in standby, it doesn’t emit any sound however your unit will make sounds when adapting temperature and and maintaining water circulation.
The two sources of sound within our Ice Plunge unit are from the compressor + fan and the water pump.
The compressor + fan only activates when the set or desired temperature differs from the current temperature within the Ice bath. The compressor & fan will continue to run (cooling or heating) until the desired temperature is reached.
The pump runs automatically every 20 minutes for a short 5-minute cycle to recirculate the water and measure the temperature. It also performs a longer 45-minute cleaning cycle every 3 hours.
One way to avoid disrupting your session is to temporarily pause the compressor during your plunge.
This temporary compressor shutdown feature can be activated by holding the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds (while in cooling or heating mode). It can be reactivated by holding the same button again for 5 seconds, or it will automatically restart after 15 minutes.
Please note: there is a 3-minute delay after shutdown to protect the compressor before it can start again.
